Affiliate and referral links

What commercial relationships ibrahingil.com has, where they are, and how they are labelled.

This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

A commercial relationship, explained plainly.

An affiliate link is a link that earns Ibrahin a commission if someone buys after following it. It does not raise the price you pay: the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket.

What is active today.

ibrahingil.com takes part in the Amazon Associates programme in Spain. Links to Amazon carry the identifier ibrahingil0c-21, which is what lets Amazon attribute the purchase. The commission is 2.5% on mobile electronics and 3% on computing, and it only counts if you buy within 24 hours of the click. The exact, current rates are in Amazon’s own table.

ibrahingil.com also takes part in the referral programme of pCloud, a cloud backup service. The commission is 20%, including on its one-off plans, and the attribution window is 45 days.

There is no advertising, no sponsorship, no brand-paid content, and no gifted or loaned products. Those two are, today, the site’s only sources of income.

Note that the links go to amazon.es, the Spanish store. This site is written from Spain, for people living in Spain, and that includes the English version.

Nowhere else on the site is there a link that pays. Every paid link is labelled “paid link” beside it, before you click, and a single sentence above the block explains what happens if you buy.

And in those two guides, what you can do without paying anything is written above the recommendation that pays. It is set out that way on purpose: if the free option is enough, it says so.

Why they open a search and not one specific model.

No device has been tested here. Recommending a model that has never been held would be a lie, and prices and stock change every week. So the link opens an Amazon search using the criteria the guide has just explained: the wattage, the memory, the capacity. The criterion is the recommendation; you pick the model.

If a specific product is ever recommended, it will be because it was used, and it will say so in those words.

The commission does not decide the recommendation.

No guide has been written, or will be changed, so that it pays more. The evidence is in plain sight: of the six buying guides published, three carry no paying link at all, because there was nothing honest to link to.

If a product is a bad buy, that is what it will say, commission or no commission.

What happens to your data if you follow one.

ibrahingil.com sets no tracking cookies and does not know what you buy. When you follow a link and leave for Amazon, it is Amazon that records the visit, with its own cookies and under its own privacy policy. What Ibrahin receives afterwards is an aggregate report: how many purchases and in which category, never who.

The purchase is made with the retailer.

Payment, delivery, warranty and after-sales support are Amazon’s responsibility, or that of the marketplace seller. Ibrahin plays no part in those terms, handles no returns, and has no access to your order.
